The Event
At just 22 years old, Stephanie Lorenzo was introduced to the issue of human trafficking after reading the heart-wrenching biography by Somaly Mam, a Cambodian woman sold into the sex trade as a child. With a Bachelor of International Communication from Macquarie University held in hand, Stephanie Lorenzo didn’t begin her career planning to start a charity. It was a chance encounter with a book about sex trafficking when she was 22, and a life-changing trip to Cambodia that left her asking, 'how could this be real?'. In June 2009, Stephanie unlocked her purpose, creating a movement to help facilitate an end to human trafficking and exploitation. That movement was PROJECT FUTURES.
Our Brief
Project Futures, Stella Fella initiative is a celebration of men and boys who understand that exploitation of women and children is not acceptable. Project Futures held an annual gala ball to raise much needed funds for the amazing cause. Our brief was to assist project futures event coordinator with the theme and décor of the gala dinner. An exciting Black and White formal ball with all the fun of being a ‘Stella Fella’.
