The Event
The annual Chairman’s Lunch is one of the Sydney Hills Business Chamber’s flagship events, bringing together business leaders, community representatives, and government officials for a high-level briefing on the future of the Hills district. The luncheon provides valuable insights into local, state, and federal developments shaping the region’s growth.
In 2017, the Chamber had the honour of welcoming the Premier of New South Wales, The Hon. Gladys Berejiklian, as the keynote speaker. Framed around the theme “Vision for the Hills”, the event explored major infrastructure projects, emerging opportunities, and the strategic direction of one of Sydney’s fastest-growing regions.
The Brief
We were engaged to deliver an event that would clearly communicate the scale of development underway in the Hills district. This included highlighting:
The proposed $911 million redevelopment of Castle Towers, anticipated to become the second-largest shopping centre in Australia.
The region’s significant projected 52.9% population growth by 2036.
Transformational infrastructure investments such as the Norwest Rail Link and the expansion of the Sydney Metro network.
To support this narrative, our team assembled a panel of respected experts, featuring representatives from Norwest Rail Link, Sydney Metro, Planning NSW, and The Hills Shire Council. Their insights provided attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the region’s future trajectory.
The Experience
Guests were welcomed with an efficient check-in process, followed by pre-event drinks and canapés to encourage networking and connection. Continuing our signature annual “Orange” theme, symbolising renewal within the region and reflecting the Chamber’s brand identity, the event styling offered a modern and cohesive aesthetic.
The ballroom featured banquet seating for 200 guests, enhanced by elegant floral arrangements in green, white, and orange tones. Each table was set with custom orange place cards and menus, creating a visually striking and memorable setting.
Attendees enjoyed a refined, three-course dining experience that complemented the calibre of the speakers and content. The two-hour program commenced with the Chairman’s Address, followed by an engaging keynote from the Premier. The event concluded with a thought-provoking panel discussion, highlighted by expert commentary from Dr Ed Blakely, whose contributions added significant depth and perspective.
The result was a seamless, content-rich event that left attendees informed, inspired, and confident about the region’s future.
